Hopton Titterhill - [3.6 miles]

OS201 OS137 garmin

It was a gloomy misty morning when 7 of us set off for Hopton Castle for a circuit of Hopton Titterhill. We parked in the Forestry Commission car park then headed to the Larches and Hopton Titterhill. It was a bit muddy underfoot and the final climb to the summit to Hopton Titterhill was just a tad slippery. We stopped for a breather and a warming drink before descending and heading through the woods towards Hopton Castle which has now shed it's protective covering as the scaffolding is taken down.

We completed the circuit after a long climb back to the car park during which Sylvia had a total sense of humour failure - sorry Sylvia. On the final climb a tantalising glimpse of 2 deer as they bolted away from us into the woods - just a flash of white rump to be seen. We eventually regained our cars after 3.6 miles.
