Walk 41 [10 miles] - The Wigmore Loop

OS201 OS137 garmin

Took place on Monday 3rd November when Diana Meanley led the 6 of us on the Wigmore Loop starting from Yatton. The weather was rather dull and overcast but we set out in fine spirits leaving Yatton and heading over the fields towards Wigmore (doing the walk anti-clockwise). Through Wigmore and then started the ascent, pausing (reluctantly) for a coffee break overlooking Wigmore Hall.
Then we skirted round Barnett Wood and through Lower Lye and briefly walking alongside the Lugg before reaching Aymestry pausing to admire 3 black sheep.

After crossing the main road we climbed through Pokehouse Wood before Colin and Graham revolted and refused to move until they were fed. We resumed after lunch, continuing along Ladyacre Plantation on the Croft Castle estate

Just look at this view we have!

before descending to Yatton. About 10 miles and well recced by Diana with help from John Makin and Janet Jones - thanks to all 3 for giving us with a great walk.
