Walk 44 [9 miles] - Llanfair Waterdine & Offa's Dyke
Coming off Offa's Dyke after coffee
Then a gentle downhill walk to Stoney Pound before turning for home. The weather was bright and once we had left Offas Dyke was surprisingly warm although the heavy rain of preceding days had the ground wet underfoot.
Beautiful views from Offas Dyke Path
Then there was the long and steady climb up Weston Hill where Geri was reunited with yet another lost glove!
Lunchtime and Ian shows Colin where we went and where we are...
..and the rest of us looked at this
Meanwhile the rest of us took in the great view We stopped for lunch (after grumblings in the ranks) on a hillside overlooking Cwm Collo before taking a shortcut and crossing Crochen Brook where most of the ladies in the walk literally filled their boots!! Then down to Mellin-y-Grogue and along the road to our starting point.
A delightful walk and many thanks to Ian Graves for researching and leading us.
